Today, we’re witnessing the clash of two iconic industry titans: MyFreeCams and Chaturbate. MyFreeCams (full review at that link) paved the way for freemium cam sites in 2004, but tides quickly turned in 2011 with the rise of its successor, Chaturbate.

Over the past 5 years Chaturbate, of course, has become so widely known that it seems like it’s virtually everyone has heard of it or knows of somehow who has modeled here.

Despite sharing the freemium format, Chaturbate and MyFreeCams differ the most on one fundamental component: user accessibility.

Both of these webcams chat sites certainly offer a very wide selection.

While the Chaturbate website seems to be overall more variant in the content it offers, MyFreeCams only hosts female performers and seems a lot less fetish friendly.

MyFreeCams is by and large easier to navigate.

You can stay on one window and view multiple streams, keep up with a number of conversations at once, and broadcast without ever having to open a new tab.

However, MyFreeCams’ girl’s only policy and lack of categorical organization do make its experience somewhat limiting.

In this case, the competition between the two cam sites really boils down to the viewer’s priorities. Do you want more varied content or more control over your experience?
